Man I am getting sweet on my 14255 HK Tanto. I just love the meaty feel, index finger groove, and sick Snody grinds.

Thing is, I really like the longer, lighter, skinnier Gaucho with the Osborne blade and grippy green T6 too.

Question:
Which do you prefer?

Choices:
12800 Osborne Gaucho
14255 Snody HK

That is a tough call, but i went with the 12800 since it comes with M4 steel. I just would have bought both.

HK-Knives all the way! But then you know how I am about its cousin, the 14205. Wink Anyway, I think the 14255 is what the Gaucho wants to be when it grows up: a big, burly, tough work knife.

Someday, I'd like to get a 14455--the auto version. Imagine how much fun it'd be! Cool

No Tanto's for me. The only Tanto that I thought was pretty cool was the Lone Ranger's sidekick... no wait,.. that was Tonto.

out of the two I would opt for the Snody HK, but if I had my pick I would go with the tanto style of the 910 or 970..

I agree with that T., neither of these do it for me, I much prefer the simpler 910 or the 722. I liked my two 970's, but had trouble with maintaining the edge on them. LifeSharp was what I usually did for the chisels when needed.

I think the thinner profile of the Gaucho would slide between the ribs and eyesockets alot more readily than the fatter Snody blade, but the Snody is definetely more intimatding at first flick.

Pull a 910 and the burly biker dude is lke "Whats that, a 910?" Pull the Hk, and the same guy is like "Holy crap, what you gonna do with THAAAAT, I'm sorry, take it easy man."

No bikers were profiled for this post.

And I know, we don't talk about stabbing people in the eyesockets on this forum...it is all talk anyway...I'm really just a big sissy with too wild an imagination...I'll not talk about it anymore.

My second son can't decide whether to specialize in Opthamology or Thorasic Surgery. I'll copy him on this since you are aparently pretty good at both. Big Grin
