I ordered it off buy.com....
It isn't marked "USA" and it isn't marked "154cm".

It has the model # marked under the HK logo and patent # marled on right side of blade.

Fit and finish on this knife is excellent...it opens smoothly etc...

I tried to google for info, but couldn;t find anything matching this knife..what do you think?

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like the real deal to me. There was a small run of 14210's that made it out of the factory with "incomplete" blade etching.

Nice choice on your for first BM. Those HK's are little tanks that will easily do a job of a knife twice it's size and still manage to look great without sacrificing on ergonomics. And the smoothness of the AXIS lock on 1421x series knives is legendary.

Thank you...

I didn't think it was a fake, but as I said... It's different so I had to ask. I was a little worried..it seems too nice not to be genuine

It's my first knife purchase ever... This may be the start of some thing ;-). I love it

Thanks for the reassurances...The pics are actually from an auction, it's the only other I've seen exactly like mine...

I guess the only thing it could effect is resale value due to skeptics, but luckily this is a keeper ;-)

I've been looking at its bigger brother too, but I don't believe I want it.. The 14210 is the only knife around $100 I've seen that strongly appeals to me.

There may be a bigger Benchmade in my future though..

Thanks again!

The recurve on the 14210 makes it cut like a larger knife. These will show up at some point as classics and so are worth seeking out.

If you like the 14210, you might also like the 14205 or 14200-xxx. The 14205 is the production big brother with flat textured black G-10 scales. The 14200-xxx were limited editions with thicker, contoured scales. The -501 was black G10 with PE blade, the -701 was green coated G-10 with SBT blade and the -702 was tan coated G-10 with SBT blade. These are really beefy knives.

How do people function without carrying a knife?
