It's amazing how inconsistent stuff is. I've got a (civilian) coworker with legal, documented Class III machine guns, but we can't have balisongs here in NM.

The last time I looked up my towns code on knives and it said repealed. I guess there is no local city law against anything? I guess it defaults to state law. My campus which is a CSU states on a sign in the parking lot "no fixed blades over 2inch(felony)"

I agree that holding the knife before purchasing can sway a descision. But as mentioned, if kept new in the Box, they tend to retain their resale value very well. Both are excellent knives and worthy of any Benchmade collection. So, you can't go wrong by adding either to yours

The ergos of the 806 pull it out in the lead by a nose, for, "which do i prefer", given, if there are both in the same steel.

I feel like I am going to cut something even if I don't need to, I am going to find something that needs to be in more pieces than when i find it, and make it so Big Grin when i carry the 806BK-901

When I carry the 710, I feel with great confidence I can cut most anything that comes my way but I do not go out of my way...seeeking things to cut. except for paper towel roles in sections while it sits on a corner of a table, in 45 degre downward Karaty chop motions Big Grin

Tho, the 710 is the newer M390 version and the 806 is an older M4 version could have some notable effect on why I feel like using one over the other. As I have had the 806 for over a year and a half and the 710 for about 6 months...
I also like that when the 806 is closed it is rockable meaning it can be rocked like an old wooden rocking chair. where the 710 sits way more solidly on its spine with very little, if any movement.

I do however like how the 701 can sit open, blade down, toward the table where as the 806 most rest blade up, when in the open possition.
These are but just a few simple observations of some of the subtle differences you might not pick up on at first glance... or opportunity to handle the knives

As for the clip issue on the ONSLAUGHT I attached a para cord with a GID,

(Glow in the Dark) Skull and let it ride in the bottom of the pocket quite often. Then no one can see the BIG HONKIN CLIP of the BIG HONKIN KNIFE in your pocket Big Grin

That is a truly remarkable design. Any idea as to who can modify that laser etching to have dual bedlams behind the skull with the initials "RLN"?

I drug them all out and counted today. I have 14 HKs hoarded. I better stop. Planning to trade for some good stuff in 2 years Big Grin

Man, the Ascents are getting crazy now too. Wish I have 14 of those.

I think I have about 15 DeJavoos in the store house as well. Guys are gonna crave 'em in a year or two.
