This year marks the return of totally awful offerings in the HK line. With the 14205 and 14210 being discontinued, the only knife in this category worth buying is the Blitz, which is still available in satin finish and made here.

What's UP with this Benchmade? Roll Eyes

I dunno, I'm not really in the market... but I kind of, like the 14055 Enigma. The Blitz... cool by me, too.

Cool

Actually, I really like the look of the Blitz. Haven't seen one locally that I can check out in person yet.

But the specs are good, as is the price on line. Haven't seen a bunch of alternatives that a guy can get a decent knife with G10 scales and full titanium scales for well under $100 (though I see that that the price has gone up slightly this last week)...

If I had not heard the 913 was discontinued, I would have bought a Nitrous instead of a styker.

I'm still thinking about this; glad to see we're visiting the HK section, that's good.

But aside from the merits of the discontinued 14205 and to a lesser degree the 14210, and on the value of the still available 14460 Nitrous, there's no buzz at all on the rest.

Curious to know; do any of you own the USA made 'Scorch', 'Fugitive', or 'Soldat'?

To our friends and patrons at Benchmade: We could use some PE satin blades in the mix, and I hope next year will either find some LIFE, or at least a reason not to shut down this category if that doesn't happen. Roll Eyes

I've been thinking the 14411 looks kind of interesting, I'm not sure about the button lock, but it seems like a good price for a made in USA Benchmade.

I agree though, they need to get a good axis lock back in the line... preferably something a lot like the 14205.

No Need to Handle this One. It is Perfect if I may add .02 cents worth

thanks T.B.R., actually shortly after I made that post I went ahead and ordered a Blitz have have used a fair bit since receiving it.

And I agree, it is a fantastic EDC knife. Light, solid lockup, and probably the sharpest knife out of the box I have received in a while. Wouldn't want to go over board with the rough stuff, but very very hard to beat for a 'value' knife.

Nice writeup of a good knife, thanks. I had one traded it, want another in PE satin. Very easy on the pocket slim as it is, and the Ti liners make you forget it's there.
