Well it’s not a Snody or a Nitrous it has no Axis, 154CM, Sweet G-10 and did I mention Axis & Snody?

That said, anyone get one of these fine looking HK’s? HK-Knives HK-Knives

If you're referring to the Ascender series and the 14650, I have handled them, but don't own any of them. They feel like decent knives for being made overseas. I get the feeling that they're on par with the rest of the BM Red Class series.

The Vex honestly feels more substantial than the Ascender series, but the Vex is also thicker, which might be good for holding and not good for pocket carry.

I suppose if you were looking for a knife to use and not worry about having invested a tremendous amount of money, they might be the route to go.

Yea, me too. I have not heard one word about them by anyone.
In fact Chang’s post was like a full review so much as I know.

I’m not knocking them or complaining they are made overseas.
I’m interested in what they’re like.

I have seen a couple pics of this model but its intresting that the grips on this blade resembles the new HK45 gun grips... it would make a nice matching combo if somebody carries the new HK45 (which by the way is very nice!)

I did not know they have another 45. Do you know the model?
It seems like they upgrade with a new model or 2 in 45 EVERY year and ask way too much for it. Not that it's not a very well build gun. Just expensive.

Anyway, maybe you are referring to the fact that they look the same. In fact I'm sure you are. That's interesting.
Thanks Shadow

If anyone has tried that new HK 14650, I'd like to hear a report on it....particularly on how tough the action and lock seem to be. Thats the one that looks like a liner lock version of an Alias II, with black combo blade and steel about like you get on a Vex....8CR13.

(The Vex might be 8CR14 steel)

Fj, I have yet to handle an Alias, but I did take another look at the 14650 the other day. The action is very smooth. The knife is extremely light because of the synthetic handle scales. The liner lock is thinner than that of the Vex though.

If I had my pick between the two I would prob go with the VEX, I handled one yesterday at a local store and the blade really felt solid.. Not as sharp as the blue and black boxed BM has to offer... but that can be fixed with a little sharpening, and the G10 handles are a plus in my book Smiler
