Nice input on the HK's. The Vex remains one of the best Reds in the lineup. 8Cr14 is pretty good stuff, the one I owned was easy to keep sharp.

Good knife for the money, no matter where it's made. The liners are thick and it weighs in at 4.7 so you'll know it's there in your pocket. The clip's pretty cool, nice that the whole thing's not shiny but subdued. Let us know what you think when you get it.

Sorry for the slight 'twist' away from the HK conversation...

I’m not a stickler for staying on topic anyway.

In fact, thanks for that HK link Shadow. First time I saw that model. It’s a drastic Cosmetic change from the blocky USP line over the past 15 years. I have a USP40 but it does not see much action. That new model reminds me of the Walther P99. Different company, same country.

Now, anyone have an HK Knife????????? HK-Knives Cool HK-Knives

Or a joke about an HK knife. It's all good big daddy. Wink

Kinda back on track here Doc.

HK-Knivess are BM's best "bang" for the buck IMO--and the terrible pun was intended. But seriously, the Snody design HKs were what I had in mind.

Anybody have or carry a 14200 in either sand or foliage??? I've been thinking about one lately...

Trailboss: I like the HK-Knives 14200 PE with G10 scales IMO its a really good looking blade... This one is actually on my short list... Like how HK picked benchmade to market there brand of knives.. it goes hand in hand with HK's "No compromise" for the handguns/rifles..

Shadow, the HK-Knives 14200 series only comes SBK--no PE. Do you mean the 14205? That one is awesome. It's BM's best offering IMHO.

Has that always been the case? The 14200 I had was PE. Maybe that special run...the 14200-701 or whatever it was called, was a CE only run.

Yes trailboss I stand corrected! I was indeed talking about the model 14205 with G10 PE...Great looking blade.. Though I thought the 14200 was offered in PE? Hmm like fastjan advised it might have been a special run.
