My neighbor has a camera and has taken knife pics for me before but man is she loony. I may go over there but it may not matter.

I compared it to another HK today 14255 Tanto. I think that's the number. It's closer than I thought but I believe now that the scales on the 14205 that I sent in may have been off color. They looked …how can I say this, dried out, like they were in the sun to long and warped. If G-10 is not susceptible to weather then how can they warp.I need to see exactly what this stuff is made of.

I’ll work on those pics. Man does she creep me out. Red Face Wink

Wait, you posted before that you like the trippy/loony ones...What happened? Wink

I know what you mean about the G10. My 14205 and 14255 are the same color. But, the G10 on the 14205 is kinda smooth while the G10 on the 14255 has more texture. Maybe BM made some changes....idk.

BTW, HK-Knives are great.

I know the G10 scales on my 950SBK-1 Rift started to dry out and become lighter in color compared to the rest of my BMs. I just put some oil on them as recommended by other forum members to restore the richer black color.

Trailboss, I like wacky women, spaced out, hippie chicks with a brain. Something tells me you do to?? Hippie chicks are smart man. This one is loony (Stephen King novel) loony. Oh, and no I have not gone over there yet. Red Face

What threw me off was the 14205 that was sent to BKC was smoother and a much duller black. So when I got it back I was like HOLLY COW! They tightened up the AXIS in a way that the blade stays put when folded but fly’s out with a little pressure. Usually to get that kind of quick action you have to loosen the pivot enough that it does not hold well when closed. This one does both and did not before.

Chang you say your G-10 started to dry out a little. I have to watch out for that in the desert climate I live in. There is about 10% humidity on average. What’s nice about putting oil on G-10 is the way the scales jump out at you with brightness.

I think I may have received new old stock if that’s possible. There is another post in here about warped scales and others have said the same thing on the 14205. But upon further review, it looks just a little brighter and shinier than my 14255 now.

HK-Knives It does rule!
