These are the limited edition Ritter Griptilains with CPM-M4 blade steel, stonedwashed DLC coating, and black hardware. These are both NIB.
I noticed one of the screws on the 552 shows some discoloring. I'm sure Benchmade will send you out a replacement screw.

No dis and purely in search of enlightenment on my part … but … what makes the M4 Ritter's demand such a high price? I would not mind having a pair of these to actually use but $200 plus for a Griptilian kind of puts it out of user mode and into collecting mode for me. Mind, not that there is anything wrong with that. I have no M4 blades. Is M4 the main driver in price?

Maybe I should post such a question in the discussion area. If I should delete this post in the classifieds, say the word, no worries, seriously, just curious.

many associated reasons can explain: they are M4 blades + they are dlc coated + and mainly, they are limited edition ! so, rarity + top quality makes the prices higher ...

To add to what pascal said,(thanks pascalSmiler) there are a few reasons why I priced them as they are. These were expensive gritilians to begin with. Aeromedix sold out of these a while ago. They are a matching set. These are GREAT knives IMHO.(I upgrade scales for my users)
The M2 versions went for a whole lot in the second hand market, like 300-400 a piece if i recall correctly. I purchased them with a credit card with an APR. The cost with paypal fees and shipping on a ~$400 sale is included.
I don't really want to sell them. It's a matter of needing money. I most likey will sell off more items untill i raise the money I need and then these will most likey be withdrawn. I need money and I wouldn't mind a small service fee for storing two quailty Benchmades for a couple years.
I figure if some one really wanted a NIB matching set they wouldn't mind the premium.
Perhaps, the next set to come up for sale will be cheaper.

This is a great opportunity for someone to own two outstanding knives! I EDC both of mine.
M4 - the best thing since M2.
Stonewashed DLC coating - The best coating I've seen/used.
LE's and a matching set?- You just can't get these anymore.
Anyone that has only one set, you should keep them. Anyone who doesn't own any, you should buy these!
Better Ritters do not exist.

My curiosity has turned into lust. If I had not ordered a couple of 615 last week, I would be in danger of starting a Grip collection.
