I've never known a Chinese-made Benchmade knife to be any more troublesome than any other Benchmade knife... I don't see what the big deal is as long as the company exercises good quality control.. This is, of course, an endless debate, I'm just stating my opinion.. Its all about having faith in the company you buy from. If I have a prob. with a Chinese made BM, I trust BM to fix it.

Having said that, I've had my Vex for almost a year and the thing is a tank... No problems at all QA-wise... Sure, I'd like a better steel in the blade... But to be honest, it locks up better than most my axis-lock knives (when it comes to side-to-side play).. Plus its got G-10.. At a great price point.

You didn't happen to ask the BM guy if he had seen anyone at Benchmade working on the 806M4's or the Ritter M4's, did you? It would be nice to have as much warning as possible so we can all run out and sell our first born child....to get the money. Smiler

Not really digging any of these new HKs. I guess the retail prices are pretty inexpensive besides the OTF one. I'd prefer some new midrange Axis lock ones instead!

Lets give BM a chance look at spyderco, they're best knives come from Seki City, the quality blows most of the stuff they do in golden, lets hope this is the same for BM's new HK imports..
