screw chinese garbage knives, waste of time and money unless you are the guy who loses a knife every week! also, japan is on a whole other level as far as quality, much better than taiwan or china. quit kidding yourselves, chinese blades SUCK!

it is just my opinion of course, but i could care less if a chinese knife won. if i am not buying american, it will be swiss, german, or japanese or something along those lines.

They may indeed... But I can guarantee you one thing... If they do happen to suck, its not because of where they're made (China) its because of how they're made (craftsmanship, quality control, skill of the laborer, etc.)

Where a knife is made has no bearing on whether it "sucks" or not.. Each knife has to be judged on its own merits.

Likewise, it would be like somebody saying "All USA made knives are freaking excellent, every single one of them!" I'm sure we all know thats not the case..

true, until usa and japan knives dont exist, i personally will NOT buy a pos chinese knife!!!

there is alot more than where it is made that goes into my thinking. i would rather pay someone that has at least a somewhat decent wage versus someone who slaves away in a communist country in what amounts to slavery.

of course everything in my house is not USA made, but i try DAMN hard to keep it that way.

China.... communist.... well it was until recently. Taken a look at them recently? Capitalism is amok over there, even the people party or whatever it's called has mostly abandoned any communist policies, they're fighting to stay in power... China sure isn't the same anymore, at least not in the global economic picture.

call it what you will. my dad has been there multiple times in the past few years, and many people say there are still goulags(spelled wrong i'm sure) and that people are taken away by the government and never return.

it's damn near slave labor going on over there, but maybe we should all stick our head back in the sand where everything is perfect!
