"Each dealer can get 8 (4 of each)"

"all thought they were just going to get one, maybe two knives"

The larger CO's are getting larger #'s than smaller dealers.

I have passed on 3 serrated blades so far.
(could have been #9 of #12)
Am #13 for a plain but there getting 12 of ea.

Roger thinks he is getting (2) of each. He would like more but say's he is limited to (2)at this time.

Also was told that BM is thinking about making 500 more P/E. But also recall reading one post about the limited SS liners?

Who knows.......

And to think, it all started here! LOL LOL

S90v Please......

Gee, if they make 500 more plain edges, that will mean those of us with the CE will have the more exclusive LE... BUHHAAAAAA (insert evil laugh). Wink

I don't see that happen soon, if at all. Also it would heck on the already numbered knives.

Would it be a whole new run? Where do you begin numbers?

If the entire original run of 250 PE and 250 CE were all numbered 1 of 500, then they could probably get away with adding 250 more of each type and let the 500 stand for 1 of 500 PE's. (I hope that wasn't too confusing.)

If they were previously numbered 1 of 250, that's a whole nuther kettle of fish Ollie.

Mark's probably right on thinking that probably won't happen soon. Although this is the most exciting issue in years to many of us, to BKC I'm sure it's a major PIA.

Just dreaming a bit here.

If this happened (and we know it won’t) we would all have one and for a price worth paying. They could stamp FORUM KNIFE 2009 on the blade and resolve the whole numbers issue. Start over with D2, S30V, 154CM. Which ever steel is best suited for that blade geometry.
That would save the integrity of the original LE.

Roger can even stamp Knifeworks Rules on it.
Cool

I am happy with the current steel choice, those others you listed would be a step down to me.
All fine steels but I prefer m4 to just about any steel thats out thus far!

Yes, if something needs to change, I would start with the handle and not change the steel.

It's all just wishful thinking anyway, but an easy change could be to add a little machine grind to the G-10 so it comes out more like an HK 14210 or a Dejavoo. (I haven't held a Dejavoo for a few years, but as I recall, their G-10 was machined into shape....I might be wrong on that.)

Nope you're right FJ. Both HK 14210 and 740/745 use those machined G-10 scales.

That G-10 is good stuff. I'm hearing a little noise about a special Ares with brown G-10 and M4 that could show up. That is one that I really want.29R

Eeker

I will definitely have to try to save for that one.

Maybe they have some old brown G-10 Leupold Ares handles they want to use up. One thing you would like about those, Chang is they were all CE. Frowner
