I posted my numbers and photos tonight in a couple sections just prior to your post.
Thats all.

Take care, and good luck!

MCM, there's nothing to explain. You've a nice collection. You should only feel proud to own it. I'm sure you do. There's no reason for you to take anything I posted personally, and you shouldn't.

I thoughtfully expressed my sentiments in a reasonable manner. I directed them to no one in particular.

This thread (so far), is twenty three pages long, and it was no more than coincidence that your post preceded mine. Maybe I owe you an apology. Do you think so?

Did I say something so horribly self-serving? How many other folks did I offend?

If one other person steps in here and tells me my post was out of line, I'll make some magnanimous gesture in atonement...

I thought it was out of line...

Actually I did not think it was, but I just wanted to see what this "magnanimous gesture of atonement" was going to be... Sounds fun!!! Wink

I appreciate your honesty Mark. I sure am glad I don't have to humble & bloody myself for no good reason. Wink Anyone else have a different opinion?

Damn right there's no harm no foul (fowl is a term for birds, I hope you know). I am not, nor was I ever denying you, your right to collect in any manner as you see fit and derive the most enjoyment from your collection, and personal efforts in pursuing said collection.

Why would you deny me my right to express my opinions in a calm and objective manner. Especially when my statements harmed no one. I'm just a philosophical guy. What else can I say? Wink

MCM, let's get past this ok? I suggest for your own personal 'healing', you look-up on the net... "the four agreements" and maybe then you'll get it.

Yeah... no harm done and we can remain 'friends'. Smiler I hope.

Rob

DJ, you're getting better at this all the time. Best thing I could say to that is: +1.

Online "talking" can be very hard and getting through it is not easy sometimes. Patience and courtesy are old words but worth bringing out sometimes.

There ya go, aleady said too much. My $.02 was just spent...Wink

That's probably the best advice I've read here on the forum.

After having given up a month ago, I got a call from my local dealer yesterday. Turned out his BM rep had gone on vacation at a bad time for this knife, but somehow, they'd managed to get one for me.

I'm amazed... what with all the people in here sporting multiple copies, and eBay seems to be running out of the ones being sold for profit, I never thought I'd get my hands on one.

Alas, I was laid off 2 weeks ago. I did buy the knife, but now I have to keep it squirreled away in the event that I have to sell it off. Thankfully, the trusty D2 is still going strong...

Kudos to everyone who got this thread going, kept it going, and kept the dream alive. I have to say, it was really cool to watch it all happen, and now to own one for myself.

So... what's next? Government option on health insurance, so we all don't get raped by the vested interests?

All I see are pristine pictures of pristine knives... doesn't anyone actually cut anything anymore?
