IMHO ...its not worth the 100.00 even 75.00 (I have two)
Buy any Fisher space pen and get the same thing , they have Fisher space pen ink in them that write on wet paper , upside down , etc.

Some differences in most writing pens, and Benchmade manufactured pens: Materials (aluminum or steel), machined in the US and the Fisher ink cartridge (ability to write in water, upside down-since it is a gas filled cartridge).

Additionally, for those who are trained or familiar can be used as a self defense tool (kubiton training).

I have several of the modestly price pens from S&W, Schrade and Tom Anderson replicas. The fit and finish of the BM pen along with the Fisher space refill...I would say that the BM pen is top notch.

Other pens use cheaper refills and machined in the China or Taiwan.

What's the diff between a Timex and Rolex?

You can use a plastic Bic to write with, but if you want a pen that is fat, strong, and heavy enough to bash something to pieces with, you have to pay a little more. Smiler
