Hey bigtom, As some of them have mentioned. That it's stainless or aluminum, pulls it out in the lead for why I would own a Benchmade pen. T H E N..... I seen this. http://benchmadeforum.com/eve/...06573/m/270009192001 I bought it for less than MSRP... Once I recieved it I tried to show it to a few friends and they where like, "Y O U payed HOW much for that PEN?" If you are not into Benchmade Knives or Pen collecting you would probably think them fools for buying a pen that expensive. For me, even tho I can get a "Fisher ink cartridge" for just about any pen. It's about the way it writes. The weight of the pen helps in not having to press down as hard when I am writing on carbon copys. it is most un-mistakingly My pen as well. I have a stainless steel version That I have a second cap on the tactical end. That I have hanging from a neckless while delivering pizza for "The Hut". I have a small clip board with the recipt on it. I had them that and the pen and with out fail...ok 90 percent of the time I get ,"N I C E pen". Half the time they asked where'd I got it? Who makes it" I'm all, "Benchmade the Knife company makes it." them "It's HEAVY!" me "That's cause it's made of stainless steel." them "wow" me "It has the Fisher Space Pen Cartridge in it...it'll write upside down in zero gravity, or under water, If I Happen to ever be delivering to AQUA MAN them...LOL.... ie... BIG tip The Damascas pen, I wear during the day while at Carpet One Floor and Home of Tallahassee. I wear it on a 550 paracord neckless and, as I write with it, it brings a Happy to be holding such a fine piece of Benchmade Quality, Made in AMERICA, Craftsmenship It's personaly pleasing and I did not buy it to impress anyone but me. I sit happily holding my hard earned dollars in my hand. Much better than when I used to smoke and drink and my money either went up in Smoke or got pissed away And that's the whole pen thing in a nut shell for Me. _________________________________________ ... it's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...Hit it...! Well put, this has me considering one of my own. Its hard to turn loose of $80 or more for a pen, but then I know folks who say anything over $30 for a knife is a waste too. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member | |||

Hey Carson, It took awhile for me to work my way up to knives of this Quality. The last knife I bought before I broke into BENCHMADE knives was CRKT Ti M16 for a Birthday gift to myself about 3-4?? Years ago. I lost it in a couch ina hotel visiting my folks I think???. It took me 3 months to finally just bite the bullet, and lay my money down.... on. a 14205. On of the best days of my life. Right after being born, Baptized and i'm on the fence whether or not it takes 3rd place over " My First Time".. tehehe Pens same way...bought a few Cross then Parkers next thing I know it was " Blue1100" 3 days later a Red 1100 then stainless pen a month later. I gifted the Blue one to the guy at the bank that helped me dissolved a 10,000 car debt. I gifted the red one to a co-worker at the Hut who had recv'd a Red 960. A year later hear I am with this new Damascus pen waitting on the Ti version??? _________________________________________ ... it's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...Hit it...!
