Just wondering if more folks prefer the old style blue box kit, with all different size torx & a phillips head, or if you like the newer sets with multiple T6 bits. Truthfully, I just saw a new area and a chance to be the first to post, but I really am curious. For the record, I prefer the older version, but I did have to replace a T6 bit, which left me out of commission for a short stretch.

I didn't know there was an older version but that is good to know. Did it happen to come the the small hex that is needed for some of the older 800's?

I like my new Blue Box, with all my balisongs it has proven its utility to me. I even used it to break apart my XBOX 360 to fix the red ring of death after my torx driver broke on me (cheap "General" torx driver). I like that its magnetic and can hold on to some types of screws. 1st prod.32, 40TR, 42, 43 Tlatch, 43 Springlatch, 43-401 #13, 46, 47 BLK, 530, 812HS, 3300, 3300BK, 3550, 10300 Bradley Cutlery Mayhem.

The smallest mine has is a T6. I don't know about for the 800, but my 812 has some screws that take a T5, so I had to break out my cheap one from Lowe's for it.

I've twisted the head on mine as I've used it too much to swap all the clips for lefty carry. Overload_ed in Colorado Benchmade Zombie #1

My older kit had bits that twisted so I bought Wiha bits. As a freebie, I recieved one of the newer kits and, again, a bit twisted. I'm a big Wiha fan now.

I'm not sure if my Blue Box is old or new, but I'm not impressed with it at all. Under normal use (swapping clips, adjusting the pivot, etc.) I've had two of the bits break on me. It's not like I wrench the screws with all my strength, just tight enough. The bits seems very soft, and the tips actually twist before they break off. I guess I'm not the only one who's had problems with it. I went to Home Depot and bought a nice Husky mini-torx set. My Blue Box is an older one and both T6 and T10, the most used ones, have been replaced by drivers from Sears. I use them a lot but not that much, IMO, to have to replace them this soon. Sears is good though being local and their warranty remains "no questions asked." 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. I see it coming now, everyone complaning about broken torx bits there's bound to be some to start asking for the Blue Box to be made in D2 or S30V or some other exotic steel!
