I'm guessing the pens are pretty tough. Just curious though, has anybody clipped one in their back pocket, forgot it was there, and then sat on it? Any other accidental abuse to report?

Thanks

I'm using them on a daily base and in ever situation imaginable. Today, my fourth pen arrived. I'm still using the first pen that I got (BM1100-1).

If you want a reliable pen, you should have a look at the 1100s series - they are great writing tools.

Accidental owies? It does hurt if it's pointy end up in pocket and you ram your hand down to get your keys or phone or something. Promise. The pointy end is really pointy... I like that it really hurt when I did it. Reassuring. Smiler

it would take some major impact to bend/break it. sitting on it would definatly not hurt the pen. they are very rugged and i find surprising that they are pretty comfortable considering its milling.

That pointy end makes a darn fine PDA stylus.

hmm, good point (pardon the pun). i might have to pick one up. i use a pda all the time. a real pda, not a smart phone. Smiler

how reliable is the o-ring. when i buy a nice pen (i currently use a rotring 600 series), i tend to keep and use it for about 10 years.

I have had my pen for about 4 months or so, it has seen pretty good use.

I nicked a small amount of the anodizing off the tip, but that was because I was hitting against something hard to test it. Not really noticiable really.

As for sitting on it...

The nature of the clip does not let itself well to being cliped in the pocket, the clip sticks out a bit on the end.

As for the O-ring, at four months I would expect it to be working. Will need a few more miles before we pass judgement on that part.
