Are these out yet?

I bought a 1150 and 1101 a few weeks ago and I just saw these on the BM site.

That damasteel looks sweet! I can't wait to get one.

Just got one Tuesday. Fantastic!

It is beautiful, massive, and grippy. The heft feels even more substantial than the listed 3.2 oz., like holding a half-inch drill bit in your hand. Niiiiiiice. A big load for a shirt-front pocket though.

This thing is really extraordinary, worth every penny. Not only is it a tactical pen, but it is the equal of any writing instrument in it's price class in terms of exclusivity.

The body of my pen is much brighter than the pictures on the web site, which I am quite happy with. The pictures make the pen look charcoal, almost BC coated. The pen is a light steel-grey color.

I really love this thing. It belongs right there beside a hand made knife and a Swiss diver's watch. My only niggle is that they should have rounded the end of the pocket clip tab on the end of the cap so that it fit flush with the edge of the cap. And wouldn't one screw have been plenty? And couldn't they have used a flat head screw that fit flush with the top of the cap?

But that is all in the spirit of paying attention to details. I still give this amazing pen 98/100.

Those are a nice looking pair.
How does the weight of the Dama and SS compare?

According to my scale, the Damasteel comes in at 3.21 oz. and the SS weighs 3.23 oz. For whatever reason, the Damasteel has a better tactile feel in the hand. I suspect it has to do with the acid wash to bring out the layering.

That is an interesting comment about the damasteel has a better tactile feel.

I have a S&W tactical pen that is longer than the BM pen but the BM feels more tactical but the BM pens have the same dimension.
