I took my new 1100-3 apart to check out the refill and the spring pop out into the force air vent on the hardwood floor.
Does anyone know if BM will send a free replacement for my lost spring? This message has been edited. Call them and they probably will.
And I do mean call - absolute best way to get in touch with them. To get by you can probably steal a spring from some inferiour pen. Steve :-> KnifeRights.org Charter Member #134 - how about you? |

I just took one of my 1100 series pens apart to compare it's spring to one from a cheapy "10-for-a-$1" kind of pen. You can safely use the cheap one and forget you had this problem, it'll work just fine.

Thanks guys, I call BM and Andy at customer service was great and he will send a couple of springs my way. Meanwhile, I will put a cheap spring from another pen.

I did this once: Since calling them would be a bit too costly (Austria / Europe - USA...) I sent them a mail asking them about a second generation clip for my "first generation" pen. BM sent me three(!) clips. That was a great experience. I don't think that they won't send you the spring (if not three of them Regards, julian Benchmades: #1100-1 w/2nd gen clip, 3300, 3300BK, 760LFTi, 32, 46, 51, 51, 51-91, 755 MPR Spyderco: Szabofly, Smallfly Trainer Bradley: Kimura II SS Limited |

I asked for 2 springs and BM sent me 3 springs.
The cost for postal cost more than the springs. Way to go BM. __________________________ * Allen Elishewitz Preservation Society Founding Member #3 * Brotherhood of the 420 & Viceroy of the Knights of the Gravitator Member * Lum Lunatics Charter Member #15 * President of the Gentleman Society for the Preservation of the 960 Innova * Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance Member #2 * Blackwood Society member #610 Red, Blue and Black Class, Pre-Productions, Limited Editions |
