Negatory on the owning one...however, I think I may take my first dabble into BM pens with this model.

My only concern is, if I throw this in my pocket will it poke me/poke a hole.

I carried the regular 1100 in my pocket everyday last semester and never had a problem with that. I am not sure if the new tip would be different.

I agree, it must be designed to not poke. It just looks so sharp tho!

They come in the all black pen with black ink and the black pen with blue tip and blue ink.

The tip would concern me a little as well. My standard 1100 managed to poke a hole in a pocket a while back

Just got a 1101-2 a few days ago & it has not poked a hole in my pocket yet. Although, the point is sharper then the point on my 1100-3. I initially thought the carbide point might be too sharper to use as a stylus on my Palm phone but it hasn't seemed to have damaged the screen yet.

i got to play with one the other day, writes great! The carbide tip is a little harsh, but nothing to bad. It would definitely do some damage if need be though!!!!!!!!!!
