Need opinions...

I want to get a pen... Which should I get, the 1150 or the 1100-2? I think I like the looks of the 1150 a little better, but the 1100-2 looks like it would serve as a better defensive instrument Big Grin. I figure if I'm going to drop more than 60 clam shells on a pen, it better serve both purposes.

So what do you guys think??

The ever-indulgent wife likes her slim, light 1150.

With my big paws I prefer the size and heft of the 1100 series (We have pretty much the whole set - just need the Red with Blue tip 1100-7 to have every different looking version).

The 1150 cap screws on and off while the 1100 series snaps off / on.

The 1100 series is also a handy stylus for your PDA (what did you think that pointy end was for?)

Ahh.. Well seeing as how I have a touch-screen cell phone (LG Dare), perhaps the 1100 series would be better suited for me... I never thought about using the pointy end for that, thanks Big Grin.

I also think I would tire of screwing the cap on and off every time I needed to write with the pen... But I really like the looks of the 1150... Maybe I'll just have to get both!

I think the 1150 sucks ...... to small , to skinney , to slippery (nothin to hang unto)
I bought one and hated it , I hated it so much I gave it away.
1100,s are nice , it gives you something to grasp onto , so the pen dont slip out of your fingers.
Just my opinion , to each his own ......dj

I have the stainless version of the 1100, and it is very heavy, but I like the heft. I think the weight is somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.7 oz.

Ok I live where they don't stock Benchmade pens.

So I did the only thing I could bought one of each, hell they are Benchmade so what could go wrong.NOT A LOT..

Yes the 1155-2 sure is skinny and not much grip but hell it doesn't rate a second glance at the airport.
The 1100-2 ,1100-9 and the 1100-10 all get stopped at the Magic metal detector.

I can still carry an innocuious tool on the plane with the 1155-2 as well as in public.

Most people think I am carrying a weapon when I have a 1100 series pen in my pocket, some even think it is a pengun..

So yeah the 1150 is slim but more solid than a Bic or a Parker.

So it is just a matter of priority one for work and one for Church an such. Big Grin
