Roger finallyyyyy got some more of these in and I had to pick one up. It seems like they've been out of stock since the summer. I guess Benchmade must not make a whole bunch of these damascus pens?

Anyways, I'm pretty floored by this pen. I think BM hit a home run with these.

Does anybody else have one? How has it been holding up?

Don't have one, but they look really nice. What's the price after the "BR549" discount?

Rx has it. Just multiply whatever price you see by .75 and that will be it.

congratulations tjsulli790,
On your new pen. I agree, great pen.

It has been holding up very well.
I wear it on a para cordneckless. It makes it more convienent to uncap/re-cap one handed.

I love the texture of the pen. each one being unique...the texture feels like a finger print. Providing a secure grip.
I dropped it once, well a few times, and the pen itself held up very well. On one occassion, it landed on the ink tip. It bent the cartridge, and mushed the ballpoint in such a way that it would not write.
With a Speedy re-load of a new cartridge I was Good to Go! Big Grin
I really notice when I do not have the pen with me, do to it's heft. So, it is quite easy to keep track of and is never left. Smiler

I allow people to sign CC recipes with either it or the SS version While at either one of my jobs and the pen always garners favorable comments.

If weight is a concideration any of the other 1100 series pens would be the next best choice.
My first 1100 pen was this blue one
an 1100-12 it makes a trip to church once a week and maybe an outting on a weekend to the movies or something like that. you know just casual.

Thanks Blueram, that was an awesome review! I'm glad to hear that the damascus will hold up to use well. This one will be spending plenty of time in my pocket.

You are welcome. I had a more detailed review several months back I believe in product reviews... if you're interested.

Before buying one of the 1100 series pens i always just trusted that when i needed one their would be one near by....
or Someone would pull a pen from their pocket.
Now you are "That Guy"
Ready to say, "I DO" or "Here you Go" and, with much pride you draw fine writing Benchmade Pen.
It is not made out of tin, or that other metal Aluminum. Naw, this Thing is made of DAMASCUS.
A swirling blend of steels, that has much eye appeal. what-ever the price you paid, You got one really great deal.
YOu could have gone out to eat, or perhaps a couple times and been left with nothing more than a dime in your pocket.
Now, You have a pen that will last for all times.

Wow these pens are amazing...can you use standard ink refills or do you have to order them from BM?
