The Ritters sure are fantastic knives. The mini here (M2 version) does indeed look well-loved, though that BT coating can be a little deceptive like that - the full size RSK right next to it has seen far more use (it was my first BM, and I generally like its size better, so it gets carried more), but it hardly shows a single mark. I haven't decided if this makes me like coated blades more or less... And Mr Field, you've caught on to one of my main EDC principles here: carrying different knives for different purposes. This is why I normally have at least three knives on me. I'd go and list some of the tasks that the above knives get used for, but I think that's a longer discussion for another day. And now for Dr Forthington Pringles's sake (and since I have it lying around), a pic of that Outbounder. This knife is about everything I could possibly want in a fixed blade of its size. Also makes me kind of wish there was a version of the same design, but with a longer blade and slightly larger handle. Oh, and this one is with 440C, not D2, for what it's worth:

Question: What's the knife top center? Is that an old rescue Stryker? Why were those discontinued? ------------------- "There's a conflict in every human heart between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil. And good does not always triumph. Nice, eclectic collection.
Heck, they've discontinued sweeter knives than that. --------------------------Do Not Write Below This Line-------------------------- Read The Patriot It's Right -- It's Free http://PatriotPost.US/subscribe/ Allen Elishewitz Preservation Society Associate Member Support the creation of a Mini-AFCK Axis lock! Yep, that's a Rescue Stryker. Model number 914FS, for what it's worth. That one is a first production run with GIN-1 steel, rather than the regular production, which had 440C. I generally use mine for bread and cheese, and the occasional other food item. I don't like serrations for most purposes, so this knife doesn't see a lot of everyday use, but it makes a great secondary (or tertiary, or quaternary, etc.) blade. Also, I've found the GIN-1 steel to have fantastic corrosion resistance, so I'm a pretty big fan of it.

Nice BM circle, thanks for sharing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patience is never more important than when you are on the verge of losing it. I'm looking at the Nimravus Cub II in 440C after looking at your photo. I like 440C but was wondering if it's good on a fixed blade. I guess you just answered my question. D2 as we know is great but I can't sharpen it yet. I don't have the skills (YET). I try and stay away from wood handles and stocks due to the dry climate of the AZ Desert. But there is a catalog item in stock with the same handle and I think 154CM. I intend to use the hell out of it so we'll see. Thanks for the close up. I love it!!
