Got my Hardtail back in today. A friend of mine, took off the G-10 inserts and replaced them with carbon fiber and removed the skull off the clip. He couldn't quite remove the HD logo off the blade without messing up the finish so he left it. I really like the way everything came out. Pics aren't that great but you can get the idea.

Very cool Joe. I definitely like the Hardtail better that way sans skulls. That's a really nice job on the cf scales too.

Thanks guys. I may have to see about getting the HD logo off. I wonder if BM would remove it?

Definitely looks alot cleaner now. Maybe you can get someone to do a satin finish on the blade. That might do the trick.

Very nice! I'd consider owning one of those w/o the HD logo. I read somewhere that BM would re-laser their logo on a blade for you (for some $) - you might try emailing them. If they would, you can sand off all the markings and just have them add the ones you want back.

Love the knife.. I want to get one of these myself..

But what is it with people wanting/trying to remove the logo? Why does it bother people so much? Its still a beauty of a knife.
