I swapped scales and hardware a while ago from a 525-81. I had the gold hardware on this one, but something still didn't look quite right. I think it looked a little "fancy". I sent it in to Benchmade and asked them to change out all the gold hardware and put in black. I wanted a little more "stealthy" look I guess. Now I think it's perfect Smiler

Thanks guys. I've always liked the 525, but this one is something really special to me now.

I like BM's carbon fiber as well and I'd like to see more of it, but without damasteel blades. It seems like all the recent offerings have had damasteel.

Looks good jam960. I like it a lot more with out the gold class hardware.
