I've not handled/seen an LFK in person, but the handles and extension system just strike me as looking corny/cheesy as opposed to serious or classy. Maybe I'm missing something, or it comes off better in person. But looking at it now, I'd probably rather have a D2 Rant Bowie in that price class.

The 740 is one sexy knife. I never really had a big interest in it, it seemed rather subdued, or plain. But then I saw a few photos of it next to the 741, and for whatever reason, the 740 just really caught my eye for once. I'm glad it did, it is a superb knife to behold, and quite a value for what you get.

The biggest key is using off-camera flash, bounced or diffused. Of course a good lens, focus, and proper downsizing/sharpening for web size all help as well.
