Here are some photos of my TSEK 805-1101/AFCK 806BK-901 Hybrid. This is a TSEK 805-1101 with the scales and barrel spacers from an AFCK 806BK-901. I think that the photos are of poor quality compared to the fine examples of photography usually posted in the Photo Forum. When I get the time I'll try to post some better photos. Barrel spacers. While I had both knives disassembled, I polished all metal contact surfaces with 800 grit and then 1000 grit wet/dry automotive sandpaper. You can see in the photos above the polished AXIS bar and the portion of the tang that contacts the AXIS bar. This message has been edited. TheBlueram234, you are seeing a TSEK blade. I took the guts of an 805-1101 and installed the scales and barrel spacers from a 806BK-901 and ended up with the knife shown. My goal was to assemble a knife just like the original 805 TSEK AXIS but with a M390 blade. The last photo in the first post shows the new and the old. The top knife is my new TSEK with flat slab scales and a M390 blade and the bottom knife is an original 805 TSEK AXIS with a 440C blade. I think calling my creation a hybrid is a bit misleading, as you've pointed out it's basically a TSEK. Maybe I should call it an 805 TSE-ACK, a twist on APBT's suggestion.
Uh........yeah, what Rick said. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rick M ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Member-The Society for the Preservation of The AFCK ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
