Hey, I am looking for a pic of a 580 and a 581 side by side to show the differences in the blade shapes.

This ought to be right up Po's alley, he is a Barrage fanatic.

This pair is post-swap, but the top knife with the 581 handle has a 580 blade in it. The bottom knife is a 581 blade. Not the best for comparison, but the best I have on hand...

You can see the nearly full length top grind on the 580 blade, while the 581 grind is a single, nearly full width grind. The 581 blade has a slight swedge which doesn't show up in the picture unfortunately, but it does show in the web site pics.

I think I like the higher primary grind on the 581 blade. Are the frames the same and if so can you just swap the G-10 and aluminum for the all G-10?

I absolutely prefer the 581 grind...don't care much at all for the aesthetics of the 580 blade...I've got a 581, 581BK, a 583SBK-1 Warn Tanto, a 585-1, a 585BK-1, and a 587SBK-1 Mini Warn, but no 580.

The scales are interchangeable between all the Barrage variations, definately, because I've tried all the possible recombinations.
