Just received this 710D2 back from a trip to LifeSharp for cleaning and a new factory edge.

A while back I mentioned the hours spent buffing the BK coating off the blade...FJ asked for a few shots so here goes:

Enjoy!

By God, she is B-E-A-U-tiful! How did you buff the blade? What did you use and do?

He wore his fingers out, is what he did. My God Joe, that's pretty! You ever put a scratch in it, I don't wanna hear about it--

The BK coating was faulty which started the whole project rolling. I started off with 320 wet/dry and Brasso to get the main bulk of the material off, went to 600 then 800, then 1000 grit followed by a buncha hours with a 3M fine sanding sponge. The rest was by hand with Flitz paste and lotsa love.

Also want to add: Kudos to LifeSharp for the job they did on the edge of the D2 blade. This thing is scary sharp, slices, dices and pops hairs.

No way will this get sold FJ.
