Same thing sorta happened to me once. Somehow the bar came loose and managed to unscrew itself. I didn't notice for a few hours. Luckily it was on the floor of my room so it was all good, but still it was pretty lame.

Edit. After typing this I went to their site, appears they changed the design a bit. When I had mine there was a slot for a flat head on one side of the lockbar and it screwed through the "pendulum" part...it appears this is no longer the case???? Or at least the pics make it seem that way...
