I have not put on the original scales. From the look of them they are thinner. These are contoured as well so they are shaped to the hand really well.

good looking blade and nice scales, Thanks for sharing the pics with us. I actually like the looks of the Custom G10 Scales...

I had some PM's about the wording "contoured". Also some questoins about the axis stud depth in the scales so here are some more crappy pics. The scales are on tthe smooth side but the stock thumb jimping on the liners are present and can be felt. Also the stock backspacer is there so it lends to the grip as well.

Cool, it looks like this guy got past the number one mistake of people trying to make their own Axis handle scales. With most, they leave the handle too thick by the Axis buttons and you can't get a decent grip on em. This guy tapered down the handles nicely, eliminating that problem.

I have heard and seen nothing but good things about Dobson's work.

Ya, if I can get some contact info on Dobson, I might have to dream up a couple of handle projects.
