I have not put on the original scales. From the look of them they are thinner. These are contoured as well so they are shaped to the hand really well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lunatics I salute thee!! http://i248.photobucket.com/al.../M2HSSR/bdd5b559.jpg Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #22

I had some PM's about the wording "contoured". Also some questoins about the axis stud depth in the scales so here are some more crappy pics. The scales are on tthe smooth side but the stock thumb jimping on the liners are present and can be felt. Also the stock backspacer is there so it lends to the grip as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lunatics I salute thee!! http://i248.photobucket.com/al.../M2HSSR/bdd5b559.jpg Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #22

Cool, it looks like this guy got past the number one mistake of people trying to make their own Axis handle scales. With most, they leave the handle too thick by the Axis buttons and you can't get a decent grip on em. This guy tapered down the handles nicely, eliminating that problem. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member

Ya, if I can get some contact info on Dobson, I might have to dream up a couple of handle projects. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member
