no wonder they cant find them lol.

anyone know what the ones BM is using are even called? they have ridges on one end so when press fit into the handle they grip a bit. i want some specifically like BM is using.

910stryker you may find this of interest...

Custom inserts (<-- Clickie link) I really wanted to get an order of these, but I can't justify a minimum order of 1000 pieces/$125 yet in my beginning work as a custom handle maker.

I'll have to make do with what I have until maybe a couple people decide to go in on a group purchase of some of them in stainless steel or aluminum.. (since they offer it outside of their usual brass inserts)

Yeah I'm wearing my old army cold weather pt shirt (long sleeve turtle neck) and some padded leather mechanic gloves. The fine CF dust was actually going through my shirt wherever the cutoff wheel was spraying the dust (through my sleeve and through the front of my shirt.. lol). I ended up just taking a shower right afterwards, so no itchiness. I'm going to get better filter elements for the respirator though... the ones I'm using I am still getting CF particles through it. I ended up setting up my shopvac next to the cutting to suck up the cutting and that help keep down the amount of CF in the air.

But to be safe I'll change the filter elements. Knife_Junky was kind enough to give me the respirator and that was definitely a huge motivating factor for working on other materials aside from wood.

FYI
The colder the shower the better. Helps close the skin pores

If I was capable of doing that, I would be a very happy man.

Any pointers?

We need a 615 LE with carbon fiber scales.
Could we also get a 630 with an axis lock?
