I agree...although I've never been there. I was watching a show on the Neanderthals. The only thing that determined where they would live was that they probably preferred a nice temporate climate with lots of fresh water and game. I noticed that even though the first of their remains were uncovered in the Neanderthal Valley in Germany, their greatest concentrations were in central & southern France.

So, If you get time transported back 10 or 20 thousand years, head for France.

The Loire valley in central France is full of history and is a beautiful place to visit. We drove through from Paris to Nice and did a couple of deep cave tours to see some drawings done many thousands of years ago...mastodons, saber tooths, and oxes looked like they were the fare of 'the day'. Everything seems older over there.

they are small congers. i got them yesterdaay by walking on the shore at low tide. they are hidden under big rocks: you have to feel them with a trident ... and do your possible to make them going out. when there is a big one, it could be a great sport: this is a very strong fish
