ok here it is ..
i will do a review in a few days once i get more acquainted with it

^^^2 newest additions to my house today^^^

out of the box this blade was pretty sharp, not the sharpest i have ever had but its in the top 5
the action is PERFECT i didnt have to oil it or mess with the pivot screw its buttery smooth and fast with zero blade play even wen a bit of force is put to it

one question tho....
is hte black coating on this blade different from that of a 710hs? because this one feels more "matted" than my old 710
i believe this is bk coating

Congrats on a nice knife. I think the coating on the 710HS you have may be the older BT, (black Teflon) not BK, coating.

I much prefer the look and feel of BT over BK. IMO it was a nicer finish that took a patina with regular use.

Your LE might just be BT, the HK knives all are except for those with the BX stuff.

Congrats Jok3r. I nevere got to handle the LE 525, but it seems that most favor it over the standard 525.

Like Joe said, I believe the 710HS has the BT coating which seems to be smoother and finer finish than that of the BK coating the newer models and your LE use.

ya the handles are great a good alt way of doing it... the scales are aggressive but not so much it hurts if you squeeze but enough to know it wont ever slip...

BUT the clip is horrible, i am not a fan of the shiny black ones and it doesnt even say USA... the whole point of gettin BM is to help OUR economy not some sweat shop in Timbuktu
im not sure if its painted or wat but it looks and feels if i rub it with my finger to hard it will start coming off

Do you have a picture of the clip?

It seems that most here on the forum are not a fan of the clips produced by BM. As long as the clip keeps my BM attached to my pocket, I'm happy. Most of my clips do look chewed up from me bumping into things when I'm carrying them, but, to me, it's just another thing to give my knife character.

Nice looking knife Jok3r. That handle was always one of my favorites.

If you want to strip the paint off the clip, I think Joe Karp has posted an easy method. If you can't find it in his old posts, I'm sure he'd send it again.

I didn't invent it but: Boil the clip in water for 10 minutes or so, then drop it in stripper like Jasco for about the same time. The paint comes off easily and will take a nice finish with 800 grit paper or a fine sanding sponge.

Wear gloves and eye protection, plenty of fresh air too...it's just a clip. Wink
