I really can't see what all the fuss is about. What am I missing... granted I have never held an Ares.
Then again, I thought that about the 710 till I owned one. I am not writing it off, but what is the big draw for you fellas? Curious. Outstanding collection btw! *********************** -Drew Make a life not a living... | 520 | 522 |800s | 812s | 812s CF | 806-901 | 806-901sbk | 806sbk-CF| 140HS | 710-801 | 610 | 615 | 6150 | 943

I wager hold one and it would need no further explanation. For me, it was really one of the first BM's I was exposed to. It was the knife that my boss used/abused and the knife that I told myself I would someday acquire. The start of the sickness STS. It really does just fit my hand, just right. It's big, but not too big. It's blade shape is simple yet elegant and useful. The handle contour and G-10 are decorative yet function and cool looking. Guess what I'm trying to say is that it is a very well done balance of many different aspects one would want in a knife. If you can find one, I highly recommend it. If you find you don't like it, moving it shouldn't be too much of an issue at all. --------------------------- "We are going to fight them fairly, and with honor...and my idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby harp seals!" -LtCol McCoy , USMC |

Good enough, I will have to track a user down and give it a go. I like the blade shape the rest of it is a bit too plain jane for me. However, I had to be convinced that the AFCK and 710 were worth it too... what was I thinking!? *********************** -Drew Make a life not a living... | 520 | 522 |800s | 812s | 812s CF | 806-901 | 806-901sbk | 806sbk-CF| 140HS | 710-801 | 610 | 615 | 6150 | 943
