I didn't handle it but I saw the little tanto HD Levitator at the BMK store.
I really liked the small tanto blade and making a money clip out of the
Levitator makes it very useful.

Here is a link to the knife.

I saw that and the first thing that came to mind was the japanese "Higo no Kami" knives, since they have the same basic blade shape.

Oh, here is a an example:

Came across these two pictures trying to find out which knife purveyors had the HD line in stock.

These were on an HD dealers online store. The description of both claims Titanium handle scales.

So, messed up photograph with innacurate description or a limited run? I'm going with the first option, but ?

I just received one of each of the two Levitator models.

First impression was that I didn't realize that these were going to be larger than the Benchmite II. These are much better to hold as they are wider (top to bottom), longer, and have a nice finger groove for good retention. The 13310 has a nice thumb ramp on top of the blade and I find this knife to be really comfortable to hold for a knife of this size.

The pocket clip will definately be a big plus for many people, but I don't usually use them on knives of this size. With the addition of the clip, they left out the hold for a lanyard, so that is not an option if you want to take the clip off. As it is, the clip is pretty flat and I will keep it on the knife, whether I use it or not.

I hope that BM produces a Blue Class model of this slightly beefed up Benchmite. They could even use a butterfly as the 'button'.

I just ordered two today from GP knives. I too didn't know these were bigger than the original Benchmites. It should be a welcome improvement. I like the small knife but always wished it to be a bit larger. Cool!
Cool

Nope, these are manual, hence the nail nick. I would love it if they would make an auto version available though.

I initially intended to convert one of these into an auto, but with the bigger size it doesn't appear that I'll be able to use a 3100 spring in it.

These look great to me.. I've had my eye on one for a while, I wanted a small little back-up blade that I can fit into the watch pocket on my jeans if need be.... Also like the fact that it has a clip... The Tanto blade looks great on this model as well Wink

I didn't know it was bigger than the Benchmite II... can it still fit in the small watch pocket in jeans or is it a bit too big now?
