I got one as a gift for my buddy that is a HD nut and it is so cool I almost kept it.

If you can imagine it it's like a 710 on steroids.

In 2 weeks I get to make my annual trip to Grand Prairie knives, and can't wait to check one out in person!!!

Classic (dare I say Buck 110) style, with the perfect modern improvements.

I like the Hardtail(well, I actually have the Mini). It is very similar to the Buck folding hunter, but since I have the Mini, it is more like the Buck 112 Ranger. It's much lighter than the Bucks and has smoother action due to the Axis lock. Now if only BM made the model without all the HD logos on them... Big Grin

Nice looking knife.

My favorite of those, with the exception of the reverse recurve blade, is the Backroad

I've heard lots of good things about the Hardtail (though also one or two people that said a couple of the handle corners are too sharp). I love the "classic" look of it as well, and am another of those that don't really like the HD logos all over the place. Not sure if BM is reading, or if they'll ever do this, but I think a regular BM production Hardtail would be awesome. Maybe with wood or micarta handle inserts, instead of black G10.

I love the look of the knife... I'll have to add one to my collection sooner or later.. I'd be all over a standard BM production Hardtail, but I'll take the HD version if I need to.. They got style Cool

I have one that's been in my carry rotation for almost a year. The schmaltzy HD graphics aside, I think it is the best knife Benchmade has made to date...well, one of the top three anyway. It is ergonomic, very strong with a massive aluminum alloy frame, and cuts very well. I've always been a fan of the classic bowie clip blade profile. It provides a pointy tip and a long sweeping edge. Plus, the lines are pretty. It's right up there with the AFCK, 610, and 710 in my book, and I think it maybe belongs on the top.

+1

You won't regret it, both regular and mini are great knives.
