Welcome to the forum!

the 13960 has an S30V blade versus the regular which had a D2. Besides that, the coloring and the HD etching they are the same.

Thank you

I have a red one with the black blade on the way but I just don't care for the big Harley text on the blade.
Is the coating on the blade easy to remove and if I do remove the coating will it remove the Harley text?

Unfortunately no...the HD logo's deeply lasered onto the blade. You might have better luck with the coating but trust me from experience, it's a lot of work.

I got one about a week ago, and it is indeed a very nice blade. So light for it's size, especially considering it doesn't have hollow plastic handles.
