This is why I think I'd be hesitant to EDC a knife with any kind of metallic scales, especially a higher end one I lay some coin down for. The G-10 scales on my ten year old 705 look brand new, which is nice.

I'm still interested in someday getting a 520 and a Sebenza, but I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to carry them regularly for fear of marking them up (especially the Seb).

Spending time looking at pics of well-carried Sebbies and other Ti handled knives, the marks come with the territory and most love the knives anyway. This Alias and the 635 I also own are built like tanks and I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.

And yeah, marks or not user Sebbies and Alias knives don't stay up for sale for very long.

Punisher's always got good stuff for sale or trade, I'd take him up on his lead.

Thanks for the inside tip, I really appreciate it especially considering how new to the forum I am.

The Sebenza is more of a long term goal for my collection. Actually in 2012 my wife and I will be having our 10 year anniversary, and she's always telling me I never have any ideas when she asks me what I want for gifts, so I figured a Sebbie for our 10th maybe :-)

...with beadblasted screws and dual thumbstuds (I just need to decide if I want the blue anodizing or silver studs and spacer, good thing I have over a year to think about it).

Nice review!

We need a 615 LE with carbon fiber scales.
Could we also get a 630 with an axis lock?
