Today while whittling away on wood for hours I had every knife from my collection available, aside from the 3550, Leverletto and the "super automatic" they all got turns.

710, did okay.
707, edge profiled for slicing softer stuff.
Pocket Bushman, HUGE hot spots, too thin to use without gloves.
Pika II, better for finer tip work.
Grip, did okay.

720, blade shape and profile made it much easier, only one hot spot, the jimping on the handle, but it cut so much better that I didn't care.

I absolutely love the 72X series, if you don't have one, I'd recommend getting one.

My 720 is this year's B-M total purchase - thus far. My pusher had a decent selection of oldies - love'em!

Great handful - nice blade shape.

Nice knife! The 72x series make excellent work knives - not too big or small. My 722 is one of my favorites, those are in G-10 and take a lot of abuse without showing much. 720 is on my list too!

I wonder if you can scale swap 722 to 720?!

Looks like it's possible. OR you could try and look for 721. Same as 720, but G10 scales.

Pulled out my 722 did an eyeball comparison...and the two larger T-whatever sized bolts by the lanyard hole are bigger on the 720 than that used on the 722. The rest look the same. Be interested in knowing the answer also.

I picked up a mint condition 720 in a private sale a little while back.
I generally prefer a drop point, but I really like the 720.

How thick is the 720 handle? Would somebody take a pic of it next to an Ares, 710, anything really, just for a comparison?

Thanks.
