""Flash of the Blade""

Hi All, I received a 615BK yesterday that I won on "evilbay" and just have a few questions.

1.) Do all of the 615BK or 615 have the Neil Blackwood symbol laser etched in the back of the blade??? Reason I'm asking is this one doesn't have the Blackwood symbol.

2.) The blade is off-center. Anyway to adjust this???

I gave the seller positive feedback and they did have 100% feedback ... Just hoping I didn't get a "Knock-Off". Any and All Feedback welcome. TIA, Take Very Good Care and Be Safe Always.

when neil blackwood ended affiliation with benchmade, thats when they stopped putting his logo on the blades. same deal with the skirmish. the rukus is now discontinued, and it seems they're slowly getting rid of all of the blackwood designs. which is really too bad, cause they're by far some of my favorites. hopefully the new designers come out with some nice stuff this year. i would just mess around with the pivot screws a little here and there and see what you can do to try and center the blade.

Agreed welcome my friend.

To the original post, Death Cattle is right; you can just adjust the pivot screws and it'll clear the off center blade right up Wink

the other solution is to send it back to benchmade's warranty service; they will fix the issue
i did it for my 610 which had a bendy blade. i've lost the blackwood 's logo on the way but my 610 has now a perfectly centered blade

Yes, Blackwood the logo was applied while Neil was on contract with Benchmade as a designer. After he went on to other things the blades were blank.

I sent a 635 in for service and it came back with the blank blade, they decided to replace it, and it's no biggie, just a little history. So if you get a knife with the logo, it's an earlier model.
