I finally got a 960... I know many have had this knife for a long time already, and its been on my list for a long time as well... Well I finally pulled the trigger on it and it came in late last week.

What a gorgeous little knife, a lot of pics don't do it justice, IMO... I love the red aluminum and the backspacer, just looks classy.. The spear point blade is different for me, but thats OK since I was looking for something a little different than the modified drop point 551 I usually edc.. The fit and finish on this knife is perfect. Where the g-10 runs into the aluminum, I can run my finger along the handle and can barely feel where one material ends and the other begins. Love the pocket clip on this one too, the highly polished split arrow.

Overall its a little small, but thats OK, it looks classy and can make a good office/church knife. I originally purchased it with the intention of using it daily, and I still may, but it seems so nice I feel like I shouldn't "tarnish" it Frowner.. Maybe I'll give it a trial run in my pocket tomorrow and see how it works.

The only thing I'd change is I would put the pivot screw/torx screw on the BM logo'ed side of the knife, as opposed to the pocket-clipped side, which it shipped to me on... Just cause I'm picky like that Razzer I'll probably leave it as is for now, its not doing any harm.

Anyways, this one is a homerun in my book (as I'm sure many of you already knew).. Just thought I'd share my opinion, thanks for reading!

Mines in the mail. Should be here Wednesday.
I feel comfortable with all the rave reviews, that I've made a solid purchase.
Look forward to having a chance to write my own review after having carried it a while.
Congrates to you on yours by the way ross2782

And yeah... it always seems to take a little while for me too... That is: a little while to use a brand new knife. Let it happen naturaly Smiler

Yah, I've always liked this one, since I bought my buddy a basic Al/CF handled one.

I just wish BM would use more G-10 and/or Ti instead of Al. Man a G-10 960 would be cool.

On another note, I have a -801 and -601 and am seriously considering switching up the blades. Got that idea from dj and now I can't stop thinking about it...

Eric.

Well I'm down to less than 24 hours and counting.
I heard the familar sound of the squeeeking brakes of the UPS truck today.
For a brief moment... I wondered to myself
"oh could it be here early?". Then remembering I checked the tracking # this morning and
that thought disappered as quickly as it had arrived.
So, I saunttered on back into the flooring store I work at and watched Youtube reviews for a while. flicking my 14460 open and shut for a little bit, staring at a 3310BK like I had a wallet that produced a hundred dollar bill everytime I open it.
After waking up from that little daydream I surfed through my e-mails and arrived here.
Sharing my little story to help pass the time.
Hope everyone has a great afternoon... and I'll see ya tommorow.

Well, I'm holden it in my hand...
First thoughts are slim and light.
Second smoooooth axis baby.
Yep ross is right the fit and finish is very fluid. No telling where the metal ends and the G-10 insert begins.
Very sharp out the box... made a few passes through some card board. Making a biger box smaller to send a knife to Benchmade.
I like how the blade flows right into the handle when its closed. there's not that void you get on some knives between the thumb stud and the handle area like the 14205.
Guess thats the price you pay for a little more of a finger choil... if I said that right.
Well I gotta runn more later see you guys

Glad you like yours Blueram..

I'm liking mine the more I carry it.. I usually prefer a bigger knife, like the Grip or even the 615, but I'm liking this in the pocket.. Really nice.

I couldn't get over how thin the blade is towards the tip... makes a great little slicer.

Thanx Ross,
This thing's been with me ever since I opened the box yesturday. Short of showering and sleeping with it.
Is is very smoothed textured. I can see now where folks would like a g-10 version.
I have a handlful of g-10 knives already, so its nice to have something as you said a bit different to carry.
yeppers it a good Sunday knife.
Its going to the car wash with me in a bit as well as by the church, have to leave it in the car when I go shoot some pool. Then finish the day out by watching a movie and taking a nap on the couch.
It's great to be off in the middle of the week. No lines at the car wash or the grocery store.
Well gottta run catch ya later dudes
