Once you get your hands on a 760, I think you'll agree it is a "must have". Very smooth, yet strong. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member

I just put the first post factory edge on my 760 with my sharpmaker. It is beautiful! I've gotta say this blade takes an edge better than any other blade that I have ever had. I know I know M4 is super steel, but I would swear that this knife takes an edge better than my 806. Also a blade made from M4! Maybe it is different blade shape, or maybe just a flaw in the steel on the 806. I don't know. All I can say is that this blade gets real sharp, real fast! I love it!

I would really like to see a dual stud version so that we lefties could open this knife without flicking it open. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I could get one with dual studs. I spent some time yesterday on the phone with folks at BM trying to figure out whether there was a relatively straightforward way to get there - no dice. (I'm not interested enough to send it off to a knifemaker to get it modified...I'd love to just be able to reverse the stud or replace it with a dual stud.)This message has been edited. Good point, and I'd add what's really being called for is a smaller version of the 760. I love everything about this knife except the overall length...and that complaint is a small one. Sorry you "right brainer's got left out" in this deal. To just add a stud to the other side of the blade should be easy. 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. Hmmm...pulled mine out and in order to do dual studs a depression in the Ti locking bar would be required. Not a lot and then if smaller studs were used it could work pretty well. 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. The thing is that with this knife you don't even need to use the thumbstud! you can simply hold the handle and flick the blade out without even the slightest touch! I am left handed and have no need what so ever for the thumbstud! Actually I really would rather it was taken off alltogether!

It does flick easily, doesn't it? And it only gets better with repeated opening cycles. 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100.
