Until today... got a 610 full size! YIKES!

This is a big honker! I wanted something to take camping as my 140 Nimravus can be a bit hard on the thumb for heavy tasks. The jimping bites into my thumb a bit too aggressively. Maybe I have girly hands. Wink That and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 1650, and 615 that I knew the big 610 would be a hard worker.

I will post up a full review once I can get work it a bit, perhaps after this summers camping season. But my initial thoughts have gone something like this:

"man this thing is HUGE... I like it."

"Wow, this thing is HEAVY!... I like it."

"The liners aren't even skeletonized!... cool."

"The blade is thicker than the 140!... I love it."

I may have found my favorite hard use knife. Time will tell. I like S30V but I am not sure how the edge will hold up as I have found it chips and rolls easier than a few other steels out there, but it is a great steel.

I dig it already.

Mo' later...

If you have an edge pro .... sharpen on the blue mark (I believe its 27 degrees)
I havent had a problem with chipping since then , I carry a 943 mostly at work , its S30V so .....
Just a thought ...... Iam waiting for your sheath , if its anything like your handles , it,ll be awsum.

I just looked .... blue mark is 24 degrees and that depends on the angle or grind of the blade.
I set everything at the blue mark (usually) it works for me , it holds an edge better than the 18 20 degrees (last longer) this is just my opinion though.

I agree, I usually take the M4 a little steeper but otherwise I am running between the blue and Green marks.
