I came across this blade when looking for a fixed blade made by Benchmade but the price scared me away, (If I had the money I would but the 150 model it is a HAUSE!!) I ended up going with the benchmade model 140 Nimravus.. I bought it from a forum member lightly used for 85.00 Its alot of blade for the money. I would strongly consider looking at the nimravus before making your decision.. The glory knife is a nice model but seemed like more of a collectors piece.. But I am positive it could serve well as a survival/combat knife... One day I hope to add one to my BM collection...From what I have gathered this model was in memory of Marc Lee the first Navy Seal that was killed in Iraq, I think a percentage of every knife sold goes to his donation foundation.. Pretty Cool..

Thanks guys!
I agree punisher, a better metal would be better, but obviously its already pricy, and that would just make it cost more. thanks for the help guys, i will definately check out the nimravus (btw shadow, i have a 520Bk and love it!)

Thanks Again

Here say is the Marc Lee Glory knife was designed as requested by SEAL Teams for multi purpose use--and to honor a fallen comrade. It was intended for heavy use as a utility knife. Digging, hammering, chopping, and when needed--gutting those terroist bass turds that killed Marc.

A portion of each sale does go toward Americas Mighty Warriors. Marc's Mom started the non profit in honor of her fallen son to support & encouarge our troops and to promote the cause of freedom. She travels and speaks extensively on behalf of our troops and a free America. She's barked up Reid's tree more than once and been to Iraq with throops several times. I'm glad she is out there for the troops and the Red White and Blue--God knows our President isn't.

So I'd encouarge you to buy a Glory knife. It's a nice big meaty work horse.

I like the blade; fondled one that was on consignment at my local gun shop but they wanted an exorbitant amount of money for the thing, which was unfortunate (read 400$... i know o.0 )

Anyway I liked it, balance was good and the heft was fine, though I wouldn't want it on my LBV for a long time. I'm surprised SEALs aren't as concerned with weight as I am if indeed SEALs designed the knife. The blade should be adequate as a survival knife but IMO you can do better for a fixed blade in that price range. Spartan Blades, Busse, Scrapyard, Swamp Rat...
