I have had my mini AFCK for over 12 years. I loved it, its hands down one of the best knives I have ever owned.
Unfortunately I droped it and the blade snaped 1/4" behind the tip. Did I mention I loved the knife.
I emailed benchmade customer service to see if I could get the blade replaced (I know it was my fault and I am willing to pay) but I get no response from them.

It might be easyer and cheaper to just buy a new knife but the thing that bothers me is they dont even take the time to respond to my questions.

Is this typical of Benchmade? Are they one of those companies that make a good product but provide crappy customer service?

I love the products but am very dissapointed in my customer service experience so I thought I would ask you guys before I spend any more money with this company.

Mike

Hi Mike, welcome.

My suggestion is call them at: 800-800-7427. They answer the phone every time but seem to be very slow with email responses.

Give them a chance to at least see what can be done, you might be surprised...I find their CS to be among the best in the business.

I have a couple of the mini's and have learned to like 'em a lot, if there's a chance to restore yours it's worth the call.

Good luck!

+1 on calling Benchmade on the phone... I have had simple questions sent via email get lost & never get a response. but... via telephone & asking to speak with warranty/service, always have gotten great results.

Hi Mike,

Although BKC Customer Service is the best I have ever encountered, like Joe says, calling is better than email.

Unfortunately, the chance that they will have a replacement blade for a model that long discontinued is slim to none.

If you had the tip re-ground to a point would that work, or is too much missing?

When you talk to CS, if they have no blades, ask if they will re-shape the tip.

Welcome Mike.

Just to repeat and support what the others have said, BM is slow with the emails. Sometimes it does take them time to respond to the emails, but calling is the best way to have any questions answered in a quicker time frame.

Welcome to the forum. If BM can't fix it you can always put up a want to buy add.

Wow Joe. If you answer emails as fast as you post you should work for BM. I mean a reply in under ten minutes.

We need a 615 LE with carbon fiber scales.
Could we also get a 630 with an axis lock?
