Day 6

I didn't use it today byt I can talk about how it was to sharpen the day before.

Sharpening proved a little difficult for me. Using and sharpening my 814sbt is a different experience because I didn't have to worry about the thumb studs. It might not seem like much but it takes a little getting used to again after more than a month without thumb studs. After several strokes I could sharpen the straight part no problem. The tip of the edge took a little more work but I eventually got it. Getting used to sharpening a new knife could take sometime. Going between several different blade designs and angles can mess with you. Using a magic marker helps a lot with learning how it should feel when sharpening a new knife or revisiting an old one. With more carry I will probably get comfortable enough to eventually not use the marker at all. The blade design itself is not hard to sharpen. With no recurve or tanto point you don't have to worry as much.

After this I will probably sharpen the 525 just to build up my comfort level. OK im actually bored and can't sleep.

We need a 615 LE with carbon fiber scales.
Could we also get a 630 with an axis lock?

Last day
Today I bent the clip out slightly. I actually did it while it was still screwed into the handle. I really didn't want to do it like that for fear of what stress would be put on the screws and handle but everything worked out. I just wouldn't recommend doing it often or with a lot of force.

After reading all my old posts I can say that it all holds true. This is a very nice knife and should see a lot more carry from me. It makes me want to buy a 520 again. I sold my old 520 to my friend after I didn't like it at first (just like the 525) but now it is back on the list. In all this was a pleasurable experience and I would like to do it again someday. If there are any questions or constructive criticism feel free to send me a message.

Now that my review is over I ask you readers to go out and make some reviews of your own.

Great review, Darren. I love the 525, and carry it often.

Here's how I solved the pocket wear-and-tear problem: I removed the clip, and now carry the 525 clipless in my right front pocket. When I carry my 520, it's clipless in my back left pocket. Probably won't work for everyone but it works for me.

By the way, just realized this is post number 525 for me. Cool
