Umm...huh? According to Texas law you can carry a knife of up to 5-1/2" as long as it's not one of the illegal blade types listed in the law. There is nothing stating that fixed blades are illegal.

Of course, your local laws might say differently...

Man if I could carry a 5.5 inch blade...
