Hi everyone.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these yet that can comment on it? How does it hold up? Have you used in marine environments? How does it compare to the Spyderco Salt series?

Thanks in advance.

I have mine ordered. My Spyderco Pacific Salt has always held up well, it'll be interesting to see how this new Grip does.

Got the new Grip today. So far I'm impressed. Fit and finish is spot on, centered blade, no blade play, and everything is polished really nicely. The edge is decently sharp, it will shave hairs. But this isn't much of a concern to me as I'll put my own edge on it soon. It was a little rough opening out of the box but it is smoothing up with break in. It would probably become silky smooth if I hit it with some lube, just can't remember where I put it.

I'll do some EDC chores with it and see how it does, I go to school in Austin so it won't see much salt exposure until winter break when I can take this thing back to Corpus.

Am I correct to assume that not only the blade steel, but material used locking mech components and fasteners are also corrosion proof on the H20?
