Well, after an Epicly silly long time....
I am happy to say I have my TESK.

I realy like the texture on the handle. I might have liked to see slightly more definition in the ridges. But find it has some good grip to it. Is easier on the pinky knuckle when going for change in the bottom of the pocket.

I have found that the thumb studs are floating a little to far off the frame for me. unlike a 710 where they are right against it.
The TSEK catches pocket material from time to time and deploys prematurely.
I have found that if i turn the handle a little,(a 1/4 inch) while pulling it from my pocket, I have less chance of deploying the blade before I have the handle securely in my hand.

Thought, had crossed my mind to have a hole drilled in it but seems that would be VERY difficult. doable but not practical. Not to mention since there is an 806-1101 coming very soon...
I then decided to swap studs to some more reminiscent of the 760 LFTi studs.
Wider, lower profile. I lack the expertise and time right now to try and make micro measurements to make sure it would fit..
1) the hole needed for the larger stud to set into the blade
and
2) once on there, that they not hit the frame when fully open.

I had found a set of Damascus studs on knife kits er some where... The link Shadow was so helpful in passing along.
ah there it is.

pieces and parts

I have been very happy over all with the fit and finish of the knife.
I like the Blue spacers

I may do as some other members have mentioned and swap the silver back spacers from the
806-1101 with these. We shall see

I am off this after noon and hope to swap the screws, clip and pivot assembly to black. I have
extra screws I hope are the same sizes I have collected over the years from benchmade...some of them are bound to be the right size.

I have been using and carrying "The Dang Thang"
since it arrived. Last night we had our first date night.
and had steak from The OUTBACK SteakHouse.
"The Melborne" was delicious.

After a few moments, I was able to work the steak down to a more manageable size....
I was having trouble keeping the knife resting on the edge of the plate ate first. While I chewed the tender, succulent morsels. washing them down with a Steaming hot cup of PIKE coffee from STARBUCKS.

I discovered very quickly that the finger choil was not only for fingers Big Grin

As to sharpness out of the BOX...? was there ever any doubt it wouldn't be.
It sliced cleanly through the Steak with easy. Requiring very slight downward pressure as a drew it across the Cows flesh.

The juices where flavorful and where recieved openly, as poured them over the Garlic mashed taters. Not to mention adding a Nice Shine to the Blade.. That, I admired Lovingly as I "Used The Dang Thang" to devour this fine specimine of BOVINE.

This tip is a great one Fred. I've found in many cases by simply turning the knife inwards a little, as you describe, it won't catch on pockets and does prevent the blade from opening when you don't want it to.

Nice writeup as well!

I like the looks of it also, but it's too bad they cooked it too long.

The knife is nice, too.
