I'm a little short for words right now...just got home from working a trade show (successful) to find my new 746 in the mail from our friends in Columbia LA.

On buying the knife I asked them to double check the QC aspects before shipping and they did just that, the knife is flawless.

The overall fit and finish on this knife is top Benchmade quality. It's centered, the G-10 scales are really nice and all the hardware has a nickel like finish, except for the satin clip which matches the blade nicely. Did I say the 154CM blade is flawless in grind work?

Overall, at first blush this is a great addition to my/our (Benchmade) Lum collection and will see pocket time in the next few days.

(Fixed dumb typo...)

A couple of days on, this knife is a good one. The geometry is nearly the same as the 741 so it's an amazing slicer. Used for chicken and tough leafy veggies this evening it made prep an easy task...and the thing's very comfortable with the curved handles.

You guys don't have one go get one...sorry DJ, it's lowly 154CM but that just means more for the rest of us...Big Grin

And it's been said before, but I think we have enough G-10 Lum types. I would love to see a medium sized Ti model like the following:

I'd buy two of 'em.

350, 520, 525, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100.

Haha! Thanks, Joe, I've been wanting to see these two together. I've only the big brother right now, but the mini will have to join it soon.
Smiler

Maybe it's just me, but the mini seems disproportionate to me. Regular models is fine, but mini does nothing for me, specially when put next to each other.
